Watch new ‘Tom and Jerry’ on big screen in 2020

The beloved cat and mouse will go on the big screen for the next year’s holiday season in December.

The live-action was initially slated for release in April 2021. The yet-to-be-titled film stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Michael Pena, Ken Jeong, Rob Delaney, Jordan Bolger and Pallavi Sharda.

Warner Bros. Animation Group’s production is about Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse in a fancy New York hotel, where a employee will lose her job if she can't evict Jerry before a high-class wedding at the hotel. Her solution? Hiring piano-playing Tom to get rid of the pesky mouse.

The animated pair winning multiple awards and nominations at the Oscars for seven of the shorts, released by MGM, turned into a full-length theatrical film with ‘Tom and Jerry: The Movie’ in the 90s.

The untitled film from Warner Bros. Animation Group based on the cat and mouse cartoon characters is directed by Tim Story.
